A new restaurant has hit the Miami scene from the owners of the already popular Fresko, Rustiko and Kosh restaurants. Asiatiko is a Robata style Japanese steakhouse, meaning the restaurant features dishes slow grilled over hot charcoal.
Asiatiko, located in Aventura, offers an extensive sushi menu, that is largely made up of unique and creative rolls. Examples include the Nigueiri Nikkei, a roll filled with white fish, lemon soy, aji, amarillo sauce, crispy quinoa and micro cilantro, and the Citrus Kampachi filled with orange pepper sauce, lime, caviar, and the roll is torched at the table.
Also on the menu are a variety of Asian inspired entrees and starters, like Matsu style Miso Sea Bass and Green Bean Fries. Of course we can’t forget to mention the Robata menu, which features Korean ribs and Oyster Mushrooms as some of the many offerings.
Asiatiko’s cocktail menu may be worth an article of its own – the restaurant is a fantastic place for cocktail mavens to try something new and unique. Dozens of innovative cocktails grace the menu, like the The Bombay Festival (grapefruit, sichuan pepper aperetive, lime, pineapple, bourbon) and the Autumn in Japan (pomegranate, lychee, jerez, Japanese gin).
