New Kosher Pizza and Coffee Shops Debut in Jersey City

Jersey City just welcomed two new kosher spots—Crosswalk Pizza and Stop Sign Coffee—bringing fresh energy and flavor to the local kosher dining scene. These two side-by-side establishments mark a notable first for the area, combining the vibe of a modern pizzeria with a boutique coffee shop in a single cohesive experience.

Crosswalk Pizza offers a menu that caters to lovers of traditional pizza with an Israeli touch, likely reflecting the influence of its owners’ background. Though full menu details have not yet been shared online, early indicators point to a fast-casual setup, offering slices or pies in a relaxed setting. As the name suggests, the branding is playful and urban, mirroring the dynamic feel of Jersey City’s growing food landscape.

Next door, Stop Sign Coffee brings a curated café experience to the same block, offering a focused menu of espresso-based drinks and cold beverages. Currently available drinks include Iced Cortado, Iced Americano, Iced Latte, and espresso shots, along with bottled San Pellegrino and Coca-Cola products. The coffee shop’s minimalist branding and simple menu suggest it’s aiming for a quality-over-quantity experience, geared toward daily regulars and on-the-go coffee lovers alike.

These businesses appear to be connected and possibly operated by the same team, offering customers a seamless experience whether they’re stopping in for a quick coffee or grabbing lunch. Their arrival also marks a milestone for Jersey City, which has seen a gradual increase in kosher offerings in recent years, but has not previously hosted a Chan Israel-style pizza shop.

Both businesses are still in their early launch phase, with limited social media activity and just a few posts so far. Their Instagram pages are slowly beginning to showcase their products and vibe, signaling more updates to come as they grow their local presence.

Stop Sign Coffee and Crosswalk Pizza are located at 888 Newark Ave, Jersey City, NJ. Both are under the kosher certification of Weissmandl and MetroWest Vaad, with all offerings being Cholov Yisroel, Pas Yisroel, and Yoshon.
