Earlier this week, the Baltimore-based kashrut agency, the Star-K, changed its tune on Starbucks, updating its drink list for the Seattle based company on a number of items including the popular frozen Frappuccino beverage, specifically the Mocha, Coffee, Espresso, and Caramel flavors.
These flavors are often the base flavors for many other flavor combinations which can be made in concert with flavor shots, nearly all of which are kosher. (Ask for a Mocha Peppermint Frappuccino, thank us later). These drinks are recommended in the USA and Canada only, and are not Cholov Yisroel.
However, we announced back in June that there are a few Starbucks shops in NY & NJ that offer Cholov Yisroel milk and cream by request. This option is not certified under the Star-K.
