Las Vegas, Nevada is the perfect starting point for a short road trip around the western United States. Kosher options have exploded in the city over the past few years and you can easily enjoy them while spending time in Vegas, while also packing takeout for ventures into the desert.

Your trip might look like spending a few days in Vegas, checking out the Strip and other attractions, and then driving four hours for an overnight at Bryce Canyon National Park. You can then drive another 4 hours to the Grand Canyon, stopping halfway to visit Horseshoe Bend in northern Arizona. A quick 90-minute drive will take you to the airport in Flagstaff, where flights depart to New York, Miami and Chicago daily.
It is worth noting that winters in this area are not necessarily warm and temperatures can vary wildly depending on the elevation of your travels.
