Two DC-area kosher restaurants from Silver Spring, MD are offering a kosher lifeline to stranded travelers at local airports due to weather or Southwest Airlines complete meltdown.
Holy Chow Kosher Chinese & Ben Yehuda Pizza are delivering kosher meals to stranded passengers at BWI (Baltimore) and DCA (Reagan/DC) with no delivery fees (typically $80-100!). Travelers must order by 4pm for approximately 6pm delivery, traffic & weather pending.
This service is only for today (Wednesday) and tomorrow at this time. However, Holy Chow is also offering those who are stranded in the DC area for Shabbat a 10% discount on all Shabbat orders and free delivery.
Holy Chow orders must be placed on this website and use ”STUCK AT [name of airport] AIRPORT” in the order notes section.
Ben Yehuda Pizza orders must be placed on this website and use ”STUCK AT [name of airport] AIRPORT” in the order notes section.
Special thank you to Holy Chow owner Ami Schreiber for organizing this effort.
