A New Kosher Hotspot in Central Florida: Sabbaba Market & Deli

Sabbaba Market & Catering officially opened its doors in Altamonte Springs last year, a northern suburb of Orlando, bringing with it a welcome boost to the kosher and vegetarian food scene in Central Florida. Blending the best of Israeli flavors and Mediterranean classics, Sabbaba serves as both a kosher grocery store and a vegetarian café, with hot food, bakery items, and full-service catering for private and community events.

While Orlando’s kosher offerings have traditionally centered around theme park areas and local Chabad houses, Sabbaba expands that reach further north, offering consistent access to fresh, flavorful kosher food for locals and visitors alike. Its presence also meets the increasing demand for vegetarian and vegan options within the kosher community.

Vegetarian Deli Meets Mediterranean Market

At its core, Sabbaba is a dual-concept space. On one side, it’s a fully stocked Mediterranean-style kosher market, selling imported snacks, groceries, wines, dips, and house-prepared foods. On the other side, it’s a vegetarian kosher deli, serving freshly made salads, soups, entrees, and a full breakfast and brunch menu every Sunday.

Hot deli items rotate daily and include a wide variety of “Meals To Go” options like falafel burgers, pan-fried tilapia, stuffed peppers, Mediterranean salmon, eggplant parmesan, and vegetarian shawarma. The deli offers flexible service—grab-and-go, heat-and-serve, or full catering portions—and makes weekday meals and Shabbat prep that much easier.

Their extensive cold salad case includes more than a dozen house-made options: hummus, matbucha, babaganoush, sweet potato salad, mango salad, Israeli salad, grilled vegetables, spicy carrot salad, and Mediterranean eggplant salad. Nearly all salads and soups are sold by the pound or pint for easy takeout.

Sunday Brunch Done Right

Sundays are a highlight at Sabbaba. From 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the café transforms into a vegetarian kosher brunch destination. The breakfast menu features shakshuka with Israeli salad and bread, NY bagel with smoked Alaskan salmon, challah French toast, cheese blintzes, and their signature Sabbaba Burger served on a challah roll.

The smoked fish platter includes Atlantic salmon, whitefish salad, sliced egg, tomato, red onion, and capers, accompanied by a bagel of your choice. For lighter options, the Jerusalem Falafel Pita and vegan shawarma are among the most popular items on the menu.

Bakery and Sweets Selection

From their in-house bakery, Sabbaba offers classic Jewish baked goods fresh daily. Their selection includes challah, pull-apart challah, ziva, cheese and potato borekas, N.Y. bagels, cinnamon rugelach, chocolate and cinnamon babkas, crinkle brownie cookies, and a rotating selection of fruit-flavored cakes from “Ima’s Cakes.”

All baked goods are pareve or dairy, depending on the item, and are clearly labeled in-store. These items are perfect for Shabbat meals, special occasions, or just enjoying fresh kosher pastries in a market that feels like a slice of Israel.

Catering, Events, and Custom Orders

Sabbaba’s catering services cover a wide range of events, including b’nei mitzvahs, corporate meetings, holiday parties, shiva meals, and office lunches. Their team prepares customized platters and buffet-style meals that reflect their Mediterranean-inspired, kosher vegetarian menu.

Additionally, Sabbaba allows event hosting on-site for small gatherings. Whether it’s a business breakfast or private brunch, guests can book the space and enjoy chef-prepared kosher food in a welcoming, community-centered atmosphere.

Local Delivery and Online Ordering Available

In addition to in-store shopping and catering, Sabbaba Market & Catering offers local delivery services throughout the Greater Orlando area and beyond. Customers can place orders online through their website or by calling the market directly to arrange for fresh, ready-to-eat meals, baked goods, and grocery items to be delivered right to their doorstep. Whether you’re planning a family dinner, hosting an event, or simply stocking up on your favorite Mediterranean flavors, Sabbaba makes it easy to enjoy kosher vegetarian food without leaving your home or hotel.
