Detroit’s Motor City Cruise, a basketball team in the NBA G League, has just started offering kosher food at home games, played at the Wayne State Fieldhouse, at Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan.
This is largely due to the newfound popularity of the team from the local Orthodox Jewish population in Detroit after the team signed YU Maccabees star Ryan Turell in the offseason.
Cruise (or Turell) fans can pick up kosher hot dogs (sold double-wrapped and sealed) provided by Quality Kosher Catering in Southfield, MI. They sell at the concession stand for $8 each. The kosher hot dogs are available at all home games.
The same kosher hot dogs will be also available at the pro level in Detroit but for one night only; Jewish Heritage Night at the Pistons vs. Grizzlies on Dec 4th, 2022.
Quality Kosher Catering is kosher certified by the Star-K.
