MUR, the upscale, Mediterranean-inspired upscale restaurant in the Five Towns that opened last year, is set to expand its footprint with the opening of a smokehouse right down the block on Central, named SMOKED by MUR.
The restaurant will be mid-scale pricing, not as high-end as MUR, and seat approximately 70 diners.
Smoked by Mur is set to open in late spring of 2022, and will be located at 340 Central Ave, Lawrence, NY, in the former The Paper Place space. It will be kosher certified by the Vaad of the Five Towns.
Still in the works, next door to this space is Hibana Hibachi by the Kasai Hibachi team, which was announced 5 years ago. We’re hopeful that Hibana will still open in the near future.
