Inside Berlin’s premier kosher supermarket, Kosher Daily, shoppers looking for a treat to satisfy their sweet tooth might have come across Balaboosta Bakery. The cafe has been around for about a year and is made in a completely lactose-free kitchen.
Its Instagram account describes Balaboosta as Yiddush for the perfect homemaker who brings family together through cooking and caring.
Balaboosta’s pastries are freshly baked, such as the cinnamon roll, cakes, challah, babka and ruglach. The bakery also includes homemade sandwiches, bourekas, shakshuka and malawach. All items can be ordered vegan for customers who order in advance.
Balaboosta is located at Waitzstrasse 13, 10629 in Berlin. It’s open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday until 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The kashrut supervision is under Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal from the Chabad of Berlin.
