West Boynton has quietly become one of Palm Beach County’s fastest-growing Orthodox hubs, and its kosher retail caught up in a big way when KC Market opened its 40,000-square-foot supermarket off Woolbright Road. The one thing the area still lacked was a dedicated New York-style bagel counter, the kind of spot families lean on for Sunday mornings, pre-Shabbos runs, and last-minute appetizing. That gap closes this week.
A Bagel Boss Right Next Door to KC Market
Bagel Boss is opening a full shop in the same Village Square at Golf plaza that houses KC Market, putting fresh bagels a few steps from where West Boynton shoppers already do their kosher grocery runs. The placement is hard to beat. Families loading up on Shabbos groceries can grab a dozen bagels, a tub of spread, and lunch in one stop, and locals who used to drive south for a proper kosher bagel now have one in their own backyard.
What They’re Serving
Bagel Boss built its name on hand-rolled, kettle-style bagels in the full lineup of flavors, paired with a deep selection of cream cheeses and appetizing-style spreads that run from plain to loaded. The counter also turns out deli sandwiches, made-to-order salads, egg and griddle plates, and a salad bar, plus coffee and baked goods for anyone stopping in for breakfast. Catering platters are available for shul kiddushim and simchas, which has been a steady driver at the brand’s other South Florida shops.
Bagel Boss’s Growing Florida Footprint
This is the latest step in a steady Florida buildout for the kosher operator, which already runs shops in Aventura, Miami Beach, Surfside, Boca Raton, and inside the David Posnack JCC in Davie. The Aventura branch gave North Miami Beach diners a reliable bagel source, and the Boynton Beach opening pushes that reach north into Palm Beach County, where the Orthodox community keeps expanding west of the Turnpike. It also adds another anchor to a Woolbright Road kosher cluster that now includes the market’s in-store pizza, falafel, sushi, and fish counters.
Grand Opening This Friday
The Boynton Beach Bagel Boss holds its grand opening on Friday, August 21. Like every kosher spot in the area, it closes for Shabbos, so opening day runs Friday morning into the early afternoon before the neighborhood shuts down for Shabbat. Expect a crowd of locals coming to check it out.
Bagel Boss Boynton Beach is located in Village Square at Golf, 3775 Woolbright Rd, Boynton Beach, FL 33436, directly beside KC Market. The shop is dairy, cholov yisroel, and pas yisroel, under the kosher supervision of the ORB (Orthodox Rabbinical Board). It is closed on Shabbat.
