Ditmas Boca Closes, Kosher Catering Services Continuing

End of an Era for Boca Raton’s Ditmas Restaurant

Earlier this Summer, Ditmas Boca, a staple of Boca Raton’s kosher dining scene, permanently closed its restaurant doors earlier this summer after eight years of serving the local community. Known for its contemporary steakhouse-style menu and warm hospitality, Ditmas Boca was operated by Larry, who took over the restaurant eight years ago and became a beloved figure among diners.

A Message from the Owner, Continuing to Cater

Larry expressed his gratitude to loyal patrons who supported Ditmas over the years. He reflected on how the restaurant became more than just a dining destination, calling it “some of the best years of my life” and noting that many customers came in as guests and left as family.

Although the physical restaurant is closing, Ditmas will continue operating its successful catering business and Shabbos meal packages, which had become a hallmark of the brand in the Boca community. Larry shared that this next chapter will allow him to focus more on family while continuing to serve customers through catering events and Shabbos deliveries.

Ditmas Boca’s Legacy

Over the past eight years, Ditmas Boca earned a reputation for combining upscale dining with approachability. The restaurant offered a diverse menu of expertly grilled meats, fresh fish, and creative small plates that appealed to both locals and visitors. Its stylish dining room made it a go-to spot for celebrations, community gatherings, and weeknight dinners alike.

Ditmas Boca was also part of a broader kosher hospitality effort that brought elevated cuisine to South Florida. Alongside other notable Boca establishments, Ditmas contributed to transforming the area into one of the strongest kosher restaurant markets in the United States.

Continuing the Ditmas Name

While the restaurant itself has closed, Larry emphasized that Ditmas’ top-tier catering and Shabbos packages will continue to operate in the Boca area. Customers can expect the same level of quality and attention to detail that made Ditmas Boca a community favorite.

As Boca Raton’s kosher dining landscape evolves, Ditmas’ closure represents both an end and a beginning — preserving the brand’s legacy through its ongoing culinary offerings.
