South Florida’s kosher pizza scene just got a new player, and it’s bringing a style that’s rare on the kosher map. Pizzaoli celebrated its grand opening in Dania Beach this past Sunday, planting a Connecticut-style thin-crust pizzeria directly opposite the Maple Ridge and Oakridge Jewish community, a stretch of Broward County that’s been steadily growing as a kosher dining destination.
Connecticut Thin Crust, Done Kosher
Pizzaoli’s whole identity is built around the Connecticut thin-crust style, the charred, blistered, ultra-thin pie that New Haven made famous and that almost nobody is doing under hashgacha anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon line. The kitchen makes a point of skipping seed oils entirely, using extra virgin olive oil across the menu instead. That’s a notable departure from the standard kosher pizzeria playbook and gives the crust a different char and flavor profile than the typical New York slice shop.
The menu leans into the format with a Thin Crust Meat Lovers Pizza and a Thin Crust Caprese Pizza among the standouts, alongside calzones including a Classic Cheese version. Vegetarian pies are well represented across the menu too.

Pizzaoli is running as a delivery and pickup operation, with online ordering through their own site rather than relying on third-party apps. Contact-free delivery is available, and the restaurant offers order tracking once a delivery is confirmed. Larger group or event orders can be arranged by contacting the restaurant directly.

Beyond the local Jewish community it serves, the location works well for kosher travelers passing through South Florida. It sits about five minutes from Fort Lauderdale Airport and five minutes from the Parlor Casino, making it an easy stop for a kosher meal before a flight or a night out.
