PopUp Bagels Opens Kosher Shop in Roslyn, Long Island

PopUp Bagels, the award-winning bagel shop that’s taken the Northeast by storm, officially opened its first Long Island location in Roslyn on November 15, 2024. Known for its “Not Famous but Known” mantra and minimalist menu focused on hot, whole bagels, the brand continues to expand following its popularity in New York.

The new Roslyn shop is located at 1388 Old Northern Blvd and marks a significant move for PopUp Bagels into suburban Long Island. The brand started as a home-baking project by founder Adam Goldberg during the pandemic and quickly rose to fame, winning back-to-back awards at Brooklyn’s BagelFest.

Opening day in Roslyn saw huge crowds and community excitement, with more than 700 bagel lovers stopping by in the first five hours. Live music, samples, and the brand’s signature hot bagels helped fuel the buzz. Unlike traditional bagel shops, PopUp doesn’t offer sandwiches — instead encouraging patrons to “grip, rip, and dip” their bagels with a rotating selection of artisan schmears and smoked fish.

All bagels and plain cream cheese served at the Roslyn location are kosher certified under the supervision of Rabbi Aaron Mehlman of National Kosher Supervision (NKS). However, customers should note that some flavored cream cheeses available in-store may not be kosher-certified, and should check before purchasing. Pre-packaged OU-certified kosher cream cheese options are also available for those who prefer it.

This new opening is part of PopUp Bagels’ rapid expansion throughout New York area, with a mix of kosher and non-kosher certified locations. As of this launch, the Roslyn store is one of a handful of locations operating with kosher certification.

PopUp Bagels – Roslyn Location Details:

  • 1388 Old Northern Blvd, Roslyn, NY 11576
