The long-established kosher eatery, Pita Express which opened 26 years ago, located on Ann Street near City Hall and the World Trade Center, supporting many kosher observant downtown workers and employees, is now no longer kosher.
The new restaurant in its place is halal and not kosher certified. This is in addition to the loss of Milk & Honey downtown closing as well due to COVID’s push for Work From Home, keeping workers away from the normally busy streets of lower Manhattan.
