Brand new to the Gush Etzion Region of Israel is Prohibition Pickle, a deli shop specializing in deli meat, condiments, cured fish, and of course pickles. The store is located at near the Tzomet Gush Etzion, and makes weekly deliveries throughout the country.
Prohibition Pickle is perfect for Israelis searching for classic (and modern) Eastern European Ashkenaz fare. Menu highlights at Prohibition Pickle include their garlic salami, South African style biltong, smoky maple bourbon herring, sweet and spicy pickle relish, and many types of pickles. Prohibition Pickle also offers some shabbos specialty items, including whole smoked chicken, short rib yapchik, and potato kugel.
