It can be argued that restaurants that depend on office workers for business have suffered the most during the pandemic. These restaurants are usually in popular tourist areas as well, which has largely diminished and adds to the restaurant’s burden.
Boston’s Milk Street Cafe is one such example. Located in the heart of the city of Boston, the cafe has spent months missing out on business from individuals who are now working from home, and tourists who are few and far between.
The cafe has made the tough decision to shut their doors until the workforce begins to head back to their offices, when they will once again have a steady stream of customers.
Milk Street Cafe is a disappointing loss, but if all goes well they will be back up and running in no time.
