BRONX / WESTCHESTER:
Riverdale only has room-only rentals, mainly south of the Jewish areas.
New Rochelle only has 2 room-only rentals anywhere near the Jewish area.
Scarsdale has only one rental in the entire town, which happens to be a full house/apt rental, but it’s not close to the Jewish area.
NOTE: AirBNB listings in NYC (and some other locations) are illegal if they are operated solely for the purpose of renting out on a short term basis, essentially competing directly with hotels. Those renting out their primary residence temporarily are not violating the law in NY. Because of that (and other reasons), there are not all that many listings in the NYC area (especially in the outer boroughs), let alone in the Jewish areas.
It is important to be aware that rentals of less than 30 days are illegal in NY. ( and other areas have their own restrictive laws. You can read here

if you want more clarification. Bottom line, unless it is a 2 family home, or the legal resident of the apartment is there with you, you are breaking the law. ( and don’t forget many condos, co ops, and rental unit owners also have their own rules.
