The only longstanding kosher restaurant in central London, England, Reubens has been serving the Jewish community for 46 years.
Due to a bereavement in the family of the ownership, it was decided to close the restaurant, according to the restaurant’s Instagram page.
The restaurant was known as a kosher haven in London City or West End, where it’s typically difficult to find a kosher meal without heading out to the Jewish suburbs. People from all over came to Reubens for their Salt Beef and other delicacies.
No word if another buyer will be taking over the restaurant at this time.
