The Love Boat Goes Kosher: Princess Cruises’ Exciting New Offering for Yeshiva Week 2025

Princess Cruise Lines is making waves in the cruise industry with an exciting new offering: fresh Kosher cruises. For the first time, Princess will provide a premium cruise experience catering to the needs of Glatt Kosher travelers.

Princess Cruise Lines first Kosher Sailings

The inaugural kosher sailings will take place aboard the Sky Princess®, departing from Fort Lauderdale on two consecutive weeks that coincide with Yeshiva Week vacation:

  • January 19-26, 2025 ports of call: Princess Cays (private island), Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas
  • January 26-February 2, 2025 ports of call: Princess Cays (private island), Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico

Both cruises will run Sunday to Sunday, offering a perfect week-long Caribbean getaway with Shabbat spent at sea.

On these fresh kosher sailings, Princess Cruise chefs will prepare three kosher meals daily throughout the cruise under Orthodox kashrut supervision. (Note: milk used will not be Cholov Yisrael). A dedicated kosher dining room will be available for program participants, ensuring that guests can enjoy freshly made, high-quality kosher cuisine while at sea.

A daily minyan will take place on board the ship in a dedicated space.

Kosher Supervision

Kosher certification for Princess Cruise Lines’ kosher dining is provided by Rabbi Aharon Chein (SKO Kosher)

With Princess Cruise Line’s 59-year legacy in upscale cruising, including its fame as the original “Love Boat” cruise, this initiative aims to attract kosher travelers seeking a premium cruise experience without compromising their dietary needs. This move follows Royal Caribbean Cruise’s successful foray into the kosher market over the last few years, offering a fresh kosher program aboard some of its signature ships on select cruises in January and summer. Hi i
