The Dallas kosher scene has witnessed an explosion in restaurants coming onto the scene as it becomes a popular relocation spot for Jewish families from the major metropolitan cities. In response to a larger kosher contingency arriving in Dallas, Meat & Rolls opened in the heart of the city to offer typical southern hospitality in a relaxed setting.
The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff, and a diverse menu. Its items include a Tex-Mex theme with soft tacos (known as pockets), tortilla wraps, salads, burrito bowls and nachos.
The pockets include a variety of choices using beef, chicken, fish, or with vegetables. Sample tacos include the Taco Smash Burger Style, which is beef with vegan cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions and a house sauce, in addition to the Taco BBQ Brisket, Korean Beef, Spicy Fried Chicken, and Taco Chicken-Bell, which includes bell peppers and onions with guacamole, Pico de Gallo, lettuce, vegan cheese and cilantro lime wedges.
It offers an abundance of sides as well, with choices including nachos, Mexican Style Fries, Spicy Fried Chicken and Sweet Potato Chips.
Meat & Rolls is under the supervision of Dallas Kosher and can be found at 13251 Montfort Dr. It’s open from 12 – 9:30 p.m. Sunday – Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Saturday from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
