This past December, New York City welcomed a new dining establishment to its vibrant culinary scene. Sip and Sizzle, a Bucharian and Mediterranean Steakhouse, has opened its doors on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, offering a unique fusion of flavors under the supervision of the OU.
Located in the former kosher restaurant space occupied by Nargila Grill at 1599 York Avenue, between 84th and 85th Streets, the space has undergone a complete renovation, transforming into a modern and inviting restaurant.
Sip & Sizzle presents a menu that combines classic Bukharian and Middle Eastern dishes with a variety of American-style options, catering to a broad range of tastes. The restaurant prides itself on its starters, such as the Falafel Platter, assorted Moroccan Cigars, and Kibbeh, alongside a selection of hummus variations and salads.
The main course offerings feature a rich assortment of grilled meats, including kababs, schnitzels, shawarma, and the signature Sizzle Starter Deluxe. For those seeking lighter options, the menu also includes a variety of soups, sandwiches, and couscous dishes.
The restaurant introduces specialty salads and house specials, ensuring something for everyone. Highlights include the Chicken Portobello Salad, the Thai Salad, and the House Special Plov. For guests with a sweet tooth, desserts like Baklava and Chocolate Soufflé provide a perfect end to the meal.
