For those who worked or visited Lower Manhattan / NY’s Financial District before the COVID-19 pandemic, Milk + Honey was a centrally located spot that serviced breakfast and lunch to all downtown after a long-awaited opening in 2017. The pandemic-induced office lockdowns necessitated the restaurant’s unfortunate closure.
Fast forward 3+ years later, the space on Broadway has remained empty. Enter the ever-expanding Patis Bakery & Cafe, now with over 15+ locations across NYC & New Jersey, the kosher eatery is finally expanding downtown, to a workforce of kosher-needy white-collar office workers, and tourists to the nearby World Trade Center, 9/11 Memorial, Wall Street, and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. This location is within walking distance of it all.
Patis Bakery and Cafe launched 5 years ago with their flagship bakery and commissary in Lyndhurst, NJ has has since opened 17 locations in the NY/NJ region, all of which are kosher-certified, and Cholov Yisroel.
This unique space, Patis’s 9th in Manhattan, is located 1 floor below street level. It contains 4000 sqft of restaurant space, likely one of the pastry chain’s larger dining areas.
We expect this new Patis location to open within the next 30 days, before the end of January.
Patis Bakery & Cafe downtown will be open daily (except Sat) from 8am-6pm. Friday hours likely 8am-3pm.
Patis downtown will be at 160 Broadway, New York, NY. Kosher certification by Rabbi Avrohom Marmorstein.
>>> Note: As of the publishing time of this article, Patis is in the middle of running a promotion on their gift cards: 50% off all gift card purchases over $60. Gift cards can be used at all locations. <<<
