For the first time in over forty years, Dayton, Ohio, has opened a kosher restaurant. Heavenly is serving up Indian vegetarian cuisine.
A large variety of soups are available: hot and sour, tomato, vegetable, corn, rasam, sambar, and mulligatawny.
The Indo-Chinese menu includes a vegetable marinated in corn flour, deep fried, and topped with a choice of sauce.
Chaat, tandoori, curries, and other South Indian specials are available.
Customers can also try some Indian drinks: mango lassi, salt lassi, sweet lassi, masala butter milk, badam milk, tandai, and lemon soda with salt or with sugar.
Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday 11am-9:30pm, and Friday-Saturday 11am-10:30pm.
Heavenly is kosher certified by Rabbi Klatzkin of the Chabad of Greater Dayton and is located at 9486 N. Springboro Pike, Miamisburg, OH.
