The kosher & gluten free franchise, Modern Bread & Bagel, launched on the UWS of Manhattan in 2019 and has been on a meteoric rise ever since.
The chain makes delicious, gluten-free, pastries, sandwiches, breads, bagels, other delectable items that properly serve the kosher and gluten-free/celiac community.
Modern Bread & Bagel currently operates six locations in the United States, three in Manhattan and three in Los Angeles, with one new location coming in Midtown East (after Thanksgiving 2024), one new location coming in Englewood, NJ (after the Jewish holidays 2024), and now a new location opening in the heart of Manhattan inside Penn Station.
The new upcoming Penn Station location will open sometime in 2025, according to its owner, without providing specific details on when exactly we can expect the eatery to be open and active.
If you’re looking to find this MBB location, head to the LIRR retail area that runs under W. 33rd St. This retail space is located between 7th and 8th Avenues, closest to eighth Avenue and the a/C/E subway line.
All current Modern Bread & Bagel locations are currently under the IKC kosher certification. MBB is kosher non Cholov Yisroel. (No designation of Pas Yisroel is required as everything in the store in GF)
