After spending nearly a year in its large beautiful Queens location on Union Tpke, and after numerous negative reviews (including our own), it is clear that Meatos Grill Bar cannot sustain its current business model within the large space it is in. As a result, the restaurant is splitting its space in half to accommodate another Glatt Kosher Israeli restaurant: Shipudei Tsipora, a well-regarded Middle Eastern restaurant (“Israeli Grill”) in the Bat Yam section of Tel Aviv.
No word yet on the timing of the opening of Shipudei Tsipora. Meatos will be in the interim during these renovations until July 27. We are hopeful that with the new, smaller space, Meatos will be able to get back to what it has done well in its Tel Aviv location: serving good kosher food in a beautiful environment.
