Long awaited farm-to-table Moss Café in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, has opened. Moss officially opened June 1st, and is already a hit with local Riverdale residents.
The menu changes frequently since they work with local farms and only use what the farms have in season and available. Everything is made fresh in
Everything is made fresh in-house: yogurts, gravlax, fermented vegetables, granola, pastries, and even the fresh ricotta.
While pastries aren’t currently listed on the menu, they have previously included espresso beet tea cakes with chèvre icing, rye dark chocolate & pistachio cookies, and rhubarb & thyme scones, just to name a few. CLICK FOR MENU
The restaurant specializes mainly in breakfast/lunch but has a grab and go selection after 2:30. They are open till 9 pm on Thursday nights and serve a large selection of craft beers as well as a curated wine list.
Moss Cafe is certified under the Riverdale Vaad.
Good coffee.Very small.If not claustrophobic. Great refuge for the young and orthodox.
