Introducing ‘Piccolo’ Steakhouse to the Kosher World

A new era of kosher dining has arrived in the Caribbean. Piccolo, the first full-service kosher steakhouse in Aruba, is now open inside the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino in Palm Beach. This marks a major milestone for observant Jewish travelers looking for reliable, upscale kosher dining in a luxury beachfront setting.

Year-Round Kosher Dining for Aruba Visitors
Piccolo offers something that has long been missing from Aruba’s hospitality scene: a fine dining kosher restaurant operating year-round inside a major hotel. While in the past, kosher travelers had to rely on limited seasonal pop-ups or bring their own meals, Piccolo is now providing an elevated kosher experience for both hotel guests and the public.
Currently, the restaurant is open for walk-in diners. Online reservations officially open beginning May 5.
Elegant Fine Dining with a NY Steakhouse Feel
The setting at Piccolo is modern and refined, with an interior that emphasizes soft lighting, plush seating, and a polished dining room design that feels more Upper West Side than Caribbean beachfront. While the restaurant is located in Aruba, the menu and atmosphere are intentionally styled after fine kosher restaurants in New York City.
Guests can expect premium meats, beautifully plated dishes, and attentive service. The cuisine leans classic steakhouse with some Mediterranean and seasonal influences. All desserts and sides are made from scratch, and the restaurant maintains high standards for ingredient sourcing and kitchen operation. The menu may evolve, but the approach to quality and consistency is central to Piccolo’s identity.
What’s on the Menu
While the current menu is expected to be updated in the coming days, here are highlights from the launch offerings:
- Chopped Salad with heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, parsley, tahini dressing, focaccia croutons, and mint
- Caesar Salad topped with a soft egg yolk
- Short Rib Tacos served on fresh tortillas with slow-cooked pulled beef
- Chicken Satay Skewers marinated and grilled
- Pulled Beef Flatbread made on house-made dough
- Pastas like Penne Bolognese and Spaghetti Pomodoro with fresh basil and pesto
- Grilled Baby Chicken with Salsa Verde
- Prime Steaks, including boneless Ribeye and a 24 oz. Cowboy cut
- Salmon and Seabass, plated with vegetable purées and greens
- Sides and Desserts all prepared in-house daily
There’s also a full cocktail program with handcrafted drinks featuring premium spirits, bringing a high-end kosher bar experience to the island.
Shabbat Dining Plans in the Works
While the restaurant is currently closed on Fridays and Saturdays, there are active plans to introduce Friday night and Shabbat lunch dining in the near future. According to internal planning, this would include a pre-reservation system for Shabbat meals, served family-style in the main dining space. No official launch date has been announced yet, but the initiative is expected to roll out in the coming months.

Additional Kosher Option On-Site: Beachfront Pizza
In addition to Piccolo, there’s now a second kosher option available on the Hyatt Aruba property: a kosher pizza stand near the beach. This open-air setup includes ovens and outdoor tables, offering a more casual and quick option for daytime meals. The pizza stand is certified kosher by Chabad, uses Cholov Yisroel cheese, and serves as an ideal option for beachgoers or families looking for a fast and satisfying bite during the day.
Kosher Standards and Supervision
Piccolo is certified kosher by Rabbi Ahron Blasberg of Chabad Aruba, with full-time supervision. The restaurant adheres to standards including Chassidishe Shechita, Bet Yosef, and Pas Yisroel. Guests can dine confidently knowing that all protocols have been designed in partnership with an experienced kosher team.

Open to All Guests
You do not need to be staying at the Hyatt Regency to dine at Piccolo. Once reservations go live on May 5, anyone—whether staying on or off property—will be able to book a table and enjoy the restaurant. This accessibility makes Piccolo a destination not only for hotel guests but for anyone vacationing in Aruba and looking for upscale kosher fare.
Piccolo is located inside the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino at J.E. Irausquin Blvd 85, Palm Beach, Aruba. The hotel property is approximately a 30-minute walk to the Chabad of Aruba.
