PopUp Bagels has been taking the bagel world by storm, transforming from a humble pop-up concept in Connecticut into a rapidly growing chain with locations across New York and beyond. Known for their perfectly baked, crusty-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside bagels, the brand emphasizes simplicity and freshness, offering bagels without all the usual deli-style clutter.

For kosher consumers, the good news is that several of their locations are now kosher-certified under Rabbi Aaron Mehlman of National Kosher Supervision (NKS). However, it’s important to note that only specific PopUp Bagels locations are currently kosher, and not all items sold at the stores are certified.

At these certified locations, all bagels and plain cream cheese are kosher, and for those who want to enhance their bagel experience, OU-certified lox is also available. However, flavored cream cheeses and other toppings sold in-store are not kosher at this time. Customers should always check labels or ask staff for clarification when purchasing add-ons.
