Duchess Cookies Announces Three Kosher-Certified Locations in New York

Duchess Cookies Expands to Kosher Market with Certified Locations in Nassau County

Duchess Cookies, a New York-based bakery renowned for its oversized, indulgent cookies with gooey centers and bold flavors, has expanded its kosher-certified locations.

Now operating under the supervision of Rabbi Asher Schechter of Congregation Ohr Moshe of Hillcrest, three Duchess Cookies stores are officially certified kosher in Nassau County, Long Island:

  • Plainview – Plainview Centre, 331 S. Oyster Bay Road
  • Oceanside – Sands Shopping Center, 3567 Long Beach Road
  • Roosevelt Field Mall – First Floor, next to Dunkin’ & Macy’s

All items sold at these locations are strictly kosher and classified as dairy (not Cholov Yisrael) unless otherwise labeled.

A New York Success Story

Founded in New York, Duchess Cookies has grown into a beloved brand recognized for its signature stuffed cookies. These oversized treats are packed with flavors ranging from classic chocolate chip to creative options like birthday cake, red velvet, and seasonal specials. The brand has expanded beyond its original locations but maintains deep roots in the New York community.

With these three stores now under kosher certification, Duchess Cookies is making its popular desserts accessible to a wider audience, including kosher-observant customers seeking high-quality, gourmet cookies. This move highlights the increasing demand for kosher options in mainstream food businesses and strengthens New York’s reputation as a hub for kosher dining and specialty treats.

Other Locations Not Kosher, Yet

It’s important to note that while the Plainview, Oceanside, and Roosevelt Field Mall locations are now kosher-certified, Duchess Cookies maintains other locations that are not kosher-certified at this time. Customers seeking kosher products should ensure they visit one of the certified locations listed above.

Kosher Certification & Inquiries

For those looking to enjoy these kosher-certified cookies, it’s important to note that all items at the three locations are dairy. While they are not Cholov Yisrael, any exceptions will be clearly labeled in-store. Rabbi Asher Schechter oversees the kashrut of these establishments, ensuring adherence to kosher standards.

With this expansion, Duchess Cookies is offering kosher consumers a chance to indulge in its famous cookies while enjoying the assurance of reliable kosher certification.
