Elegant Kosher Italian Restaurant Opens in Brooklyn: Castell’s

Brooklyn is officially home to the newest upscale Italian dairy restaurant in the NYC. The new 3,800 square-foot space, known as Castell’s, offers a modern, luxurious location with elegant decor, including fine china, quartzite countertops, and white oak paneling to create a warm, sophisticated ambiance.

The restaurant opened earlier in the Fall of 2024.

Castell’s boasts a pizza bar, with a view of two wood-burning ovens, made fresh daily. It also offers dishes like Caponata di Melanzane, made with Fairy Tale Eggplant, Ricotta, and honey served on Crostini, in addition to Fagioli Cannellini, which includes Cannellini Beans, Escarole and tomatoes.

As a unique feature to the restaurant, it offers items made with cheese aged over six months old, such as the Chiocciole alla Vodka Picante, Mozzarella Fatta in Casa (homemade Mozzarella cheese), in addition to its pizza. In addition to being Cholov Yisrael and Pas Yisrael, it caters to gluten-free and vegan diets.

Castell’s is located at 222 Avenue U in Brooklyn. It is open on Sunday from 5 – 9 p.m., Monday – Wednesday from 6 – 10 p.m., Thursday from 6 – 10:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 – 11 p.m. It is kosher-certified by the Vaad Hakashrus of Flatbush.
