Ondas by Fuego Opens in 5Towns

A decade after making waves in Miami with their flagship restaurant, Fuego, the owners have expanded their culinary empire to New York with their latest concept—Ondas. Blending Mexican and American cuisine, Ondas offers a unique dining experience in a lively and modern atmosphere. From flatbreads and creative cocktails to succulent steaks, the restaurant promises to be a standout addition to New York’s upscale dining scene.

The new establishment follows the successful blueprint of its sister restaurants, G7 and Fuego, incorporating a mix of upscale, casual elegance with bold flavors. In fact, the idea for Ondas has been brewing since 2021, originally intended to take the place of Sushi Metsuyan, but has since evolved into a distinct culinary destination of its own.

The atmosphere at Ondas is designed to be as inviting as its menu, with warm lighting, colorful decor, and playful touches that give it an exotic flair. The restaurant’s vibrant yet laid-back ambiance makes it the perfect spot for a night out with friends, a celebratory dinner, or even a casual meal.

With its blend of bold flavors, upscale vibe, and welcoming energy, Ondas brings something new and exciting to New York’s dining scene.

Ondas features steaks like the Boneless Ribeye, an 18-oz steak dry-aged for 30 days, a 12-oz Surprise Steak and a 32-oz Cowboy Steak. Other signature dishes include 24-hour braised boneless short ribs with house-made mole, house beans, guacamole and a corn tortilla in addition to Duck Dos Formas, which is crispy duck breast with duck confit, stuffed with poblano pepper, vegan sour cream and yellow mole.

For guests seeking lighter fare, Ondas offers a variety of salads, tacos, and fresh pastas. The menu is complemented by an eclectic drink selection featuring handcrafted cocktails, mezcal, and local craft beers, all served in a warm, vibrant environment that invites patrons to relax and enjoy.
