Thousands are flocking to the Niagara Falls area April 7-8 to watch the solar eclipse. For this once-in-a-lifetime event, both sides of the U.S. and Canadian border will feature options for kosher-keeping consumers.
In Amherst, NY, Buffalo Kosher Gourmet offers pizza, pasta, fresh salads, sandwiches and much more. The restaurant will be available for take-out April 7 from noon – 6 p.m. and April 8 from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Across the border, Chabad of Niagara in Canada is hosting a two-day event with minyanim and several kosher food options for those interested in witnessing the eclipse at Niagara Falls. Attendees can witness the eclipse on April 8 between 2:04 and 4:31 p.m. EST. and can purchase pre-paid meals April 7-8.
For dinner, Chabad of Niagara offers a prix fixe menu, which costs $59 CAD per person, and includes unlimited appetizers consisting of grilled pitas/bins, french fries and a Mediterranean platter of baba-ganoush, hummus and matbucha.
Entrees include a choice of grilled boneless chicken thighs, a seven-ounce oven-baked salmon fillet and a 12-ounce ribeye grilled to perfection for an additional $35 CAD.
All entrees include a side of baby potatoes, french beans and flame-grilled peppers with a soup.
Throughout the day, the Chabad of Niagara will offer breakfast for $14.95 CAD per person and a personal pizza, which is $17.95 CAD.
