The Ma’lawah Bar, a Yemenite cuisine restaurant, officially launched its soft opening this week on March 20th. The kosher eatery offers ma’lawah, kubaneh, and different types of jachnun meals.
Doreet, owner of The Ma’lawah Bar shares her family’s homemade breads passed down from previous Yemenite generations with an authentic flavor. Some signature dishes include the Ma’lawah Traditional, a wrap folded in half with sliced hard-boiled egg, grated tomato and schug, along with a Ma’lawah Pizza, which is Ma’lawah filled with vegan mozzarella and tomato sauce sprinkled with za’atar.
The store is certified by the VAAD Sunrise-K and is located at 4131 El Camino Real, Suite 100 in Palo Alto.
The Ma’lawah Bar is open Monday – Thursday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday until 2 p.m., and Sunday until 5 p.m.
