With the growth of LA’s Jewish community extending north to the Conejo Valley, Rabbis Moshe Bryski and Yisroel Levine knew it was only a matter of time before another kosher restaurant burst onto the scene. Little did they know that an opportunity existed right in front of their eyes.
Hummus Lali, which opened in February 2022 serves Israeli food and caught the attention of both rabbis during the Westlake Village Hannukah celebration. After meeting with Chef Nadav Gerber, they worked with him on getting hashgacha to serve the growing needs of the Conejo Jewish community.
The family-owned business serves a typical Israeli menu, with sandwiches offered in a pita or challah. The challah sandwiches offer schnitzel with either a sweet mustard sauce, their house aioli or their house schug and pickled jalapenos. Hummus Lali also offers plates with falafel, grilled chicken, kabob, shawarma or schnitzel, served with a salad, pita and home made hummus.
Hummus Lali is under Koach Supervision led by Rabbi Moshe Avila.
It is located at 30760 Russell Ranch Rd in Westlake Village, open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and on Friday until 2:30 p.m.
