The owners of DOMA, Cork & Slice have replaced their fast-casual concept, Streats, in the 5 Towns with an upscale Asian fusion cuisine restaurant that launched this week titled “ANJU”.
ANJU, currently in a soft opening phase for another week or so, is a beautifully designed restaurant bringing a unique offering to the area on Long Island.
Its menu includes unique Asian salads; dim sum like truffle chicken wontons, wagyu goyza, and boa buns; noodle dishes including yaki ramen and pad Thai; other hot apps like matzo ball ramen, scallion latke with braised wagyu; robata skewers like Japanese eggplant, and ribeye & shishito pepper; sides that include grilled corn with kabayaki glaze, anju fries with togarashi, and Chinese broccoli; specialty sushi dishes like truffle otoro, double hamachi, and the soy paper wrapped crudite-oshinko, as well as maki, hand maki, and sushi taco options a la carte.
Entrees include fish (Chilean sea bass, char grilled tuna, etc.); meat (braised beef short rib, panko veal chop, etc.); and grill (Korean kalbi short ribs, robata charred ribeye, etc.). A unique mixed drink, wine & spirits selection is available from the bar. Desserts include pineapple pistachio paradise, chocoanna wontons, apple pai, sorbet and ice cream options as well as dessert martinis, cordials, coffee & teas.

While the 5 Towns does not lack for Chinese and Sushi restaurants, ANJU fills a void by offering a refined experience with unique dishes, drinks, and service.
The restaurant is located at 128 Cedarhurst Ave., Cedarhurst, NY. ANJU is kosher certified by the Vaal of the 5 Towns.
During soft opening, ANJU is open Sun-Thurs 5-10pm. The restaurant will eventually be open for lunch and Saturday nights as well in the near future. Reservations can be made on their website here. The restaurant will also have to-go options on UberEats in the near future.
