Mutra, the North Miami restaurant that became the first kosher restaurant in the world to earn a Michelin star, is launching an international chef collaboration series this November. The series opens with celebrated Israeli chef Assaf Granit, the chef behind Shabour in Paris and Janjariya in Jerusalem, joining Chef Raz Shabtai for three ticketed dinners from November 4 to 7. The collaboration marks Granit’s first-ever U.S. dinner event, bringing his cooking to Shabtai’s intimate sixty-seat dining room in North Miami.
Both chefs were shaped by Jerusalem. Shabtai named Mutra for his grandmother and built its farm-to-table menu on the flavors of his native city, a vision that earned the restaurant its Michelin star this past May, fifteen months after opening. Granit, who co-founded Jerusalem’s Machneyuda Group, received a Michelin star for Shabour in 2021, the first awarded to an Israeli restaurant in France. His newest Jerusalem restaurant, Janjariya at the Ramban Hotel, is the group’s first kosher meat restaurant.

The dinners are billed as a journey from the chefs’ Jerusalem roots to the kitchens they run today, with Shabtai and Granit cooking side by side and in conversation with guests over multi-course menus.

Jerusalem Night Market
On Wednesday, November 4 and Thursday, November 5, the restaurant hosts a Jerusalem Night Market dinner party from 6 to 10 p.m., built around an 8-course tasting menu. Tables for parties of two to six start at $200 per guest, and bar seats for parties of one to four start at $250 per guest.

Jerusalem, Plate by Plate
On Saturday, November 7, the two chefs cook a 12-course dinner for 16 guests at the chef’s counter, with a 7 p.m. seating at $1,500 per guest and a 10 p.m. seating at $1,800 per guest. Both Saturday seatings begin after the conclusion of Shabbat.
All tickets are purchased in advance and are non-refundable, with an optional wine pairing available. Seats can be booked through the restaurant’s events page.
