Air Haifa to Fly Ben Gurion to Eilat Starting Oct. 25

Air Haifa ATR 72 aircraft in flight

Air Haifa will begin flying from Ben Gurion Airport to Eilat on October 25, 2026, with introductory fares from NIS 79 (about $22) one way. Ticket sales opened October 11, according to Ynetnews. The route lands at Ramon Airport, which serves Eilat.

Flights depart from Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion on the airline’s ATR 72-600 turboprops, with a flight time of about one hour each way. Air Haifa plans about two flights a day in each direction at the start and about three a day during November, per Haifa News Corporation.

Fares and Baggage

The NIS 79 introductory fare applies in both directions and is subject to seat availability. The base ticket includes a personal handbag or backpack. A trolley bag can be added from NIS 49, and a checked suitcase from NIS 77. Air Haifa lets passengers change or cancel up to 24 hours before departure in exchange for credit toward a future flight, valid for two years.

The Briefing Point reports that other airlines on the route charge roughly NIS 170 to NIS 300 per flight, which puts the introductory fare well below the usual range. Tickets in both directions are subject to seat availability, so the lowest fare may not be offered on every flight.

Another Option to Eilat

Air Haifa enters a route that Israir and Arkia already serve. The airline started out flying from Haifa Airport, and the Ben Gurion service adds a second base for its Eilat flights. Our earlier report on the launch of the airline is here.

Kosher in Eilat

Travelers heading south can find kosher dining in the city, including Barbis Diner and Bar and a longstanding restaurant that turned kosher in 2024. Our Eilat kosher restaurant and travel recommendations cover more.
