British Airways will resume flights between London Heathrow and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on October 25, returning the UK flag carrier to Israel after a suspension that began in late February. Tickets for the resumed route are already on sale.
The airline will operate one daily round trip on the route, a reduced schedule from the twice-daily service it ran before halting Tel Aviv flights during the war with Iran.
A Daily Flight on the A321neo
The airline has repeatedly pushed back the resumption of the Tel Aviv route since March. The restored schedule puts one British Airways flight a day on the Heathrow-Tel Aviv route. Schedule filings show an evening departure from London Heathrow, with the return leaving Ben Gurion the following morning, operated by the Airbus A321neo. The once-daily schedule keeps the airline’s Israel capacity below its prewar level for now.
British Airways had told customers by the end of May that Tel Aviv and several other Middle East routes, including Dubai, Bahrain and Amman, would remain suspended until at least October 25, and the restart lands on that schedule. Iberia, British Airways’ sister carrier within International Airlines Group, is set to resume daily Madrid-Tel Aviv flights the same day.
One of the Last Major Carriers Back at Ben Gurion
British Airways is among the final major foreign airlines to restore service to Israel. Delta and United resumed their Israel routes in September, while American Airlines has pushed its New York-Tel Aviv suspension through March 2027. Air India plans to return in December.
Foreign carriers gradually returned to Ben Gurion following the April ceasefire, with more resuming service in June after the United States and Iran reached a memorandum of understanding. While the foreign airlines stayed away, Israeli carriers carried most of the traffic in and out of the country. Not every carrier is back: flydubai has extended its Tel Aviv cancellations through October.

Booking the Return
Nonstop Heathrow-Tel Aviv flights from October 25 onward are bookable now on the British Airways website. Travelers still holding bookings from the suspended period should confirm their reservations directly with the airline.
