Surfside has developed itself as a kosher restaurant hub for some for the best kosher eateries in Florida, let alone in the US.
Josh’s Deli has been one of the non-kosher establishments on Harding Ave, although their concept as a modern Jewish Deli, which was also listed on the Michelin restaurant guide, has eluded kosher consumers until now.
Josh’s Deli is now officially a Glatt Kosher restaurant, described as a restaurant with artisanal modern takes on Jewish deli classics, including meat & fish cured in-house, in a small cozy nook on Harding.
When asked to describe his restaurant Josh describes the food as “Cured and smoked from scratch. We will be making our own breads and bagels and baguettes. Kreplach, knishes, mixing up old and new. We are making from scratch coconut yogurts as a the base for sauces and dressings. Serving prime rib dinner, fried chicken, sake, beer & wine.”
Josh’s Deli is open from 9am – 9:30pm, offering kosher diners a unique opportunity to try various parts of their menu which includes a bevy of in-house made drinks, from smoothies and freshly squeezed juices to coffees and more. Josh’s has become known for their signature sandwiches like the Jewban with brisket & turkey pastrami, signature sabich and “BLT” sammies, plus a number of other mouthwatering options. Non-sandwich options include Asian-inspired deli bowls, “Super Crispy Chicken” dishes, burgers, wraps, and deli by the lb., as well as soups and salads.

The restaurant is open Sun-Thu 9am-9:30pm and on Fridays until 3:30pm.
It is kosher certified by Kosher Miami (KM).
