BACAR is now in its soft-opening phase in Dania Beach. The kosher Mediterranean grill, with a meat menu and full bar, has taken over the Griffin Road space that has been home to Puya Urban Cantina, the kosher Mexican spot that opened last year.

Soft-Opening Menu
Appetizers include mushroom hummus ($16), beef-stuffed arayes ($22), chicken poppers ($18), and shishito peppers ($15). A homemade salad buffet costs $10 per person with free refills, available only after ordering a main course; individual salads are $5.
The mangal menu includes 12-ounce ribeye ($56), Brazilian ribeye with grilled pineapple ($58), flat iron steak ($52), and Brazilian flat iron ($48). Chicken breast is $36 and chicken thighs are $40. A classic burger is $26, the BACAR Shuk Stack Burger with beef bacon and BBQ sauce is $30, and whole butterfly branzino is $58.
Skewers range from $10 for vegetables to $18 for lamb kebab, beef bacon kebab, or durum kebab wrapped in a flour tortilla. The $240 Prime BACAR Board combines four skewers, a 12-ounce flat iron steak, 12 ounces of chicken thighs, two spicy sausages, two sides, chimichurri, tahini, and sliced pineapple.
Cocktails & Arak Bar
Signature cocktails are $22, including Elinor with vanilla vodka and passion fruit, and Michelle with indigo gin, lychee, lavender liqueur, and yuzu. The arak bar’s city-named drinks are $20, including Tel Aviv with pistachio arak and Haifa with coconut rum. Classics such as an espresso martini, mojito, and whiskey sour are $18. Non-alcoholic pina colada and strawberry slushies and lemonana are $20.
Opening During Chol Hamoed
BACAR launched with a l’chaim on September 27, followed by its full food menu on September 28 during Chol Hamoed. Live entertainment runs on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Puya Moves to The Social Fork
Puya is moving to The Social Fork, an all-kosher food hall planned along the 441 corridor near the Hard Rock. The hall will have several vendors, a central bar, lunch service, and a kids’ area. Puya is targeting a winter 2027 debut there.
