Puerto Rico’s Jewish Community Expands with Kosher Restaurant by OMRKT
Puerto Rico’s Jewish community has a new destination for kosher dining with the opening of Kosher Restaurant by OMRKT in Miramar Plaza, San Juan. This upscale, sit-down eatery, which launched in the summer of 2024, brings a gourmet, farm-to-table kosher dining experience to locals and visitors alike.
Founded by the team behind OMRKT—a well-established brand in Puerto Rico known for its focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients—this new kosher venture continues the tradition of high-quality cuisine. The menu is designed to cater to a variety of tastes, offering creative dishes that emphasize bold flavors while maintaining strict kosher standards.
The opening of Kosher Restaurant by OMRKT expands the kosher food options in Puerto Rico, complementing the existing services provided by Chabad of Puerto Rico, namely kosher takeout services and communal Shabbat and chag meals at the Chabad shul.
The restaurant is certified under Caribbean Kosher, a trademark under the Chabad Jewish Center of Puerto Rico, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of kosher supervision.
