A fire at Akimori’s Brooklyn location led to a temporary closure May 26. No employees were hurt, but the fire damaged the back of the restaurant.
No reason was given for the fire, but the restaurant announced on its Instagram account that it plans to re-open once it’s rebuilt.
For those who are seeking Akimori’s omakase and high-quality sushi, the restaurant has a new location on the UES, and their food can also be enjoyed at Bonito in Manhattan and Salt Steakhouse in Long Branch.
