Alyah is a modern glatt kosher bodegón and sushi bar in Buenos Aires’ Palermo neighborhood, pairing a contemporary take on the classic Argentine corner bodegón with a full sushi bar. The restaurant opened earlier this year.
The space is no stranger to kosher diners. It was most recently home to Le Marais, and before that the Lebanese restaurant Laialy.

The bodegón side of the menu covers the Argentine canon: milanesas, pastas, and empanadas salteñas, joined by less common kosher finds like crispy chinchulines glazed with honey and ají, ribeye tacos, beer-battered onion rings, smoked BBQ beef ribs, and a braised ossobuco.

A few highlights from the current menu, which runs several pages from bodegón starters and mains to the full sushi list:
| Menu highlights | Price (ARS) |
|---|---|
| Empanadas salteñas | 19,000 |
| Crispy chinchulines with honey and ají | 31,000 |
| Ribeye tacos | 29,000 |
| Clásicos sushi rolls (10 pieces) | 18,000 |
| Especiales sushi rolls (10 pieces) | 24,000 |
The sushi bar turns out clásicos and especiales rolls by the ten piece order, along with sashimi and nigiri. The especiales list includes a Kyoto roll topped with flambéed salmon, beetroot and negi crisp, and the starters lean Nikkei as well, with a ceviche carretillero and a salmon tartar with tostada chips. In its opening weeks the restaurant promoted sushi libre nights, the all-you-can-eat format that has become a Buenos Aires staple.

The room is built for a night out, with regular live music and event evenings. A 10% service charge is included on the bill. Drivers get one hour of free parking at the garage on Gorriti 4747, and reservations are handled through the restaurant’s Instagram account, @alyah.arg.

Alyah comes from the same group behind Pi-Chi-Klin, the kosher sushi delivery operation that relaunched in October with delivery Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 to 10:00pm, and plans to expand into Flores, as well as Shanghai Kosher.
Alyah is located at Av. Raúl Scalabrini Ortiz 1426, Palermo, Buenos Aires. Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00pm to 12:00am, Sunday 12:00 to 3:00pm and 8:00pm to 12:00am, Sunday brings both lunch and dinner service. The restaurant is closed Friday. Glatt kosher supervision by Rabbi Yosef Chehebar.
