Finding kosher food at a ballpark has always been hit or miss, even in New York City. But the Brooklyn Cyclones just made it a lot easier for kosher fans heading to Coney Island this summer. The Mets’ High-A affiliate has partnered with Retro Grill as the official kosher food vendor at Maimonides Park for the 2026 season, replacing the previous kosher stand setup that offered a more limited selection.

The Kosher Hot Dog Special
The centerpiece of the partnership is a Kosher Hot Dog Special available at every Tuesday and Sunday home game. The deal bundles a game ticket with a kosher hot dog and chips, giving kosher-keeping fans a simple, affordable way to grab dinner at the ballpark without worrying about what they can actually eat. For a minor league stadium experience, that kind of bundled deal is a solid value.
About Retro Grill

Retro Grill is a well-known kosher meat restaurant in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn, serving classic American fare like burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and their popular Rice Crispy chicken tenders. The restaurant has built a loyal following for generous portions, solid pricing, and a nostalgic diner-style vibe. All of their meat is certified Glatt Beit Yosef. The move to supply the Cyclones’ kosher stand is a natural fit, given that Retro Grill is already a Brooklyn staple and the stadium sits just a few miles south in Coney Island.
Maimonides Park and the Kosher Tradition
Maimonides Park has maintained a kosher food presence for years, with a dedicated kosher stand on the main concourse near the elevators. The partnership with Retro Grill looks to elevate that offering with a named vendor known for quality rather than a generic concession setup. The Cyclones have also historically hosted a popular Jewish Heritage Night each season, drawing sizable crowds from the Brooklyn Orthodox community.

What Kosher Fans Should Know
The Kosher Hot Dog Special is specifically tied to Tuesday and Sunday home games, so plan accordingly if that deal is what you’re after. Tickets for the special can be purchased through the Cyclones website at brooklyncyclones.com/retrogrill. Keep in mind that Maimonides Park does not allow outside food or beverages, so the kosher stand will be the primary option for observant fans on game days.
The Cyclones play a 132-game schedule in the South Atlantic League, with home games running through September at the 7,000-seat waterfront stadium. It’s a fun, low-key ballpark experience right on the boardwalk, and now kosher fans have one more reason to make a Tuesday or Sunday game part of their summer plans.
Retro Grill at Maimonides Park is located at 1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224. The kosher stand is on the main concourse. Retro Grill’s brick-and-mortar location is at 2556 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11229. Kosher supervision is under Kehilah Kashrus. Glatt Beit Yosef certified.
