New Upscale Kosher Vegan Mexican Eatery Opening in NYC: Sentir

City Roots Hospitality and Chef Guy Vaknin are set to open a new restaurant, Sentir, in New York City’s Flatiron District in March 2024.

Known for creating popular dining spots like Beyond Sushi and Willow, the team now turns its attention to celebrating the vibrant flavors and traditions of Mexico.

As seen in teasers on Instagram, Sentir promises a menu that honors traditional Mexican cuisine while incorporating innovative twists. Diners can look forward to a selection of traditional salsas, housemade chips, and tortillas made from heirloom grains.

The menu will also feature fresh tacos and ceviches, alongside chef-crafted entrees and artisanal desserts. Sentier will also offer a curated selection of tequilas and mezcals sourced from across Mexico, as well as specialty margaritas and cocktails.

The restaurant’s design will reflect the colorful and dynamic spirit of Mexican culture, featuring custom murals and installations to create an intimate and immersive dining environment.

Sentir will be certified under the International Kosher Council.
