This past week, I had the zechut of joining the Persian Jewish community in Great Neck, NY for their first ever “Kosher Food Fest” – a celebration of some of the best kosher restaurants, caterers, and food products on Long Island and in the greater NY area. After a display that included tables set up by Akimori, Paprika, Yaaas Tea, Abu Shimon Shwarma, Izzy BBQ, a kosher fire truck food truck by Colbeh, and others, the crowd of 800+ packed into the sanctuary of Shaare Shalom – the Mashadi Jewish Center in Great Neck to hear Rabbi Shlomo Farhi discuss the connection between Keeping Kosher and the story of Purim from the megillah.
