Dubai’s kosher dining scene has been growing steadily since the Abraham Accords, and it just got a significant addition. Chlew Delishop, the Paris-based kosher charcuterie and sandwich brand with a cult following across France, is now open at Beach Park Plaza in Jumeirah 2.
If you’ve been to Paris in the last few years, you know Chlew. The brand has built multiple locations across the French capital, from Levallois to Saint-Mandé to the 4th, 8th, and 16th arrondissements, and recently added shops in Paris 17 and Paris 19. Earlier this spring, Chlew made its first international move with a U.S. debut in Surfside, Florida, bringing the concept to South Florida’s kosher-dense community. Dubai is the next stop. The concept is straightforward but executed well: a fully kosher deli shop built around custom-built charcuterie sandwiches, cured meats, carpaccios, and boards, using house-made and imported product sourced from artisan producers in France, Italy, and beyond.
What to Expect from the Menu
At its Paris locations, Chlew anchors the menu around what it calls a “Chlew”: a made-to-order sandwich built from dozens of meat combinations on your choice of bread. The cold cut selection is extensive, running through smoked turkey, pastrami, veal, bresaola, carne secca, salami, foie gras, mortadella, and more. Beyond the sandwiches, the menu includes charcuterie boards, beef carpaccios, and sandwich box formats. Everything is prepared fresh daily on-site.
It’s a meat operation, positioned as a deli and charcuterie shop rather than a sit-down restaurant, though Paris locations have both indoor seating and takeaway. For Dubai travelers, that means a legit kosher lunch or dinner option that isn’t a hotel dining room or event catering setup.
Why This Matters for Dubai Kosher Travelers
The existing kosher restaurant scene in Dubai is real but limited in range. Options lean heavily toward Israeli-style meat restaurants and dairy cafes, mostly tied to hotel venues or catering operations. A walk-in deli concept from a recognized European brand is a different category entirely, and the Jumeirah 2 location puts it in a well-trafficked, upscale neighborhood accessible from multiple popular hotels and residential areas.
Chlew also brings brand recognition that matters to the French-speaking Jewish traveler base, which is a substantial segment of kosher tourism in Dubai. This is not an unknown quantity to that crowd.
All kosher restaurants operating in Dubai fall under the supervision of the Emirates Agency for Kosher Certification (EAKC), run by Rabbi Levi Duchman, Chabad emissary to the UAE. Confirm certification details directly with the restaurant before visiting.
