New Kosher Vietnamese & Asian Restaurant “Sunflower” Now Open in Boca

Kosher Vietnamese is one of the rarest finds in South Florida, and that just changed in West Boca. Sunflower Kosher has opened on the State Road 7 corridor, bringing a Vietnamese and Asian menu to a community that has no shortage of kosher options but nothing quite like this.

A Cuisine That Has Been Missing

Vietnamese food has never had much of a foothold in the kosher world, which makes Sunflower a genuinely interesting addition to the South Florida scene. The restaurant is built around the core flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, with balance and freshness at the center of the concept. Think light broths, bright herbs, and dishes that feel clean and intentional rather than heavy.

For kosher diners who have gotten used to seeing the same familiar cuisines cycle through new restaurants, Sunflower offers something that actually breaks the pattern. That alone makes it worth a visit.

What Is on the Menu

The menu spans Vietnamese staples and broader Asian fare. Fresh spring rolls and ramen anchor the Vietnamese side, while sushi and chicken wings round out the offering for diners who want something more familiar. The range gives Sunflower flexibility as both a solo lunch spot and a table for a mixed group with different tastes.

The sushi program is where SunFlower really shines. The signature rolls are the main event, with standouts like the Miami Heat Roll (salmon, kanicrab, avocado, topped with torched salmon), the Bambu Roll loaded with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and tempura flakes, and the Red Dragon Roll finished with fresh tuna and unagi sauce. Nigiri, sashimi, and hand rolls round out the raw fish side, with salmon, tuna, hamachi, and imitation crab all represented.

Sunflower is a meat establishment, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. Online ordering is available through GetSauce and Uber Eats for those who want to order in.

Hours and Ordering

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday for lunch and dinner, with a Friday afternoon window before Shabbat. If you are in the West Boca area during the week, this is a solid addition to the rotation. The hours are straightforward and the online ordering options make it easy to work into a busy schedule without committing to a sit-down.
