Midwood has no shortage of kosher options, but a fresh, all-day cafe concept that leans into healthy eating, grab-and-go bakery, and a full juice and smoothie program is still a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Jus Munch, a new kosher spot that bills itself as “Brooklyn’s favorite cafe,” has opened on Avenue M, bringing a full cafe menu to an area that knows its kosher food.

What Jus Munch Is
The concept is built around fresh, fast, and accessible kosher eating. Think bakery staples, grab-and-go options, pressed sandwiches, and a juice and smoothie menu that goes well beyond orange juice. The name is a mashup of the two things they are leaning into: fresh-pressed juice culture and the kind of casual, satisfying food you actually want to eat for breakfast or lunch on a busy weekday.

The menu leans dairy and pareve. Standout items include the Munch Melt (their top seller), the Jus Tuna Press, and a bagel with egg and spread for the morning crowd. On the sweeter side, the Caprese Panini and acai-style Jus Glow Bowl round out the options. The cafe also has a full coffee program, with iced pistachio lattes, iced strawberry matcha, and a salty caramel option that will be familiar to anyone who has spent time at a trendy kosher coffee shop in the past few years.

The Sushi Bar
One of the more interesting wrinkles is a separate sushi bar menu, running its own hours inside the same space. Sunday through Friday mornings, Jus Munch operates its main cafe menu. The sushi bar activates with its own menu starting at 10 AM on Sundays through Thursdays. If you are heading over specifically for sushi, worth keeping that in mind and checking current hours before you go.
