Malka, a celebrated kosher restaurant concept led by Chef Eyal Shani, that opened its first kosher location late last year in NYC, is set to bring a taste of Tel Aviv to downtown West Palm Beach by late 2024, as originally reported by YeahThatsKosher back in August. This newest outpost will be Malka’s fourth kosher location, following its Tel Aviv converted-to-kosher location and recent expansions to Manhattan and Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood. Shani, a well-known name in Israeli cuisine, launched the first Malka in 2018 (albeit not kosher) to offer a dining experience that celebrates freshness and creativity.
With this new upcoming opening, Shani aims to bring his innovative approach to kosher cooking to a wider audience, featuring vibrant Mediterranean flavors and an ambiance designed to evoke the essence of Tel Aviv. While Malka follows kosher guidelines, Shani is dedicated to delivering an unrestricted dining experience, emphasizing the freedom and joy he believes kosher cuisine can provide.
Signature Malka dishes, like the queen Malka schnitzel—a chicken schnitzel filled with mashed potatoes—and the Tel Aviv favorite, a beef-filled pancake crisped to perfection, will be included. However, the West Palm Beach menu will also showcase Shani’s original creations, adapted to incorporate local produce and seafood for a unique Floridian twist. Shani is especially excited about his “Jewish ramen” concept, debuting exclusively at this location, which he describes as a personal culinary milestone.

The kitchen setup at the West Palm Beach Malka features a massive grill that Shani is eager to utilize for the new menu. Meats will retain the signature Malka quality, while the use of local vegetables will bring freshness and region-specific flavors to the dining experience.
